Google follow Author Rank in article, specially In-Depth Articles and then gives higher rankings to the content in search results. Recently Google’s Web-Spam team lead Matt Cutts confirmed on succession at Search Marketing rapid Explosion today that Google add a form of “Author Rank” in use today at Google. It is now particularly used within the in-depth articles system to bend which articles to show in the In-Depth articles section.

This question was buck up by a tweet from Matt Cutts recently:

Matt Cutts | Author Rank | latest google update

Matt Cutts confirmed again, on succession that this is indeed true.

We are also waiting Google to be releasing an update where their algorithm takes into account authority of an author and then gives higher rankings to the content written by a more related and documentary author.

This specific comment rotate around in-depth articles only demonstrating for authors with high authority.
